What is Plagiarism?
My understanding of plagiarism is taking someone's work without his or her approval. "Plagiarism is presenting someone else’s work or ideas as your own, with or without their consent, by incorporating it into your work without full acknowledgement. All published and unpublished material, whether in manuscript, printed or electronic form, is covered under this definition. Plagiarism may be intentional or reckless, or unintentional. Under the regulations for examinations, intentional or reckless plagiarism is a disciplinary offence."source

Why is Plagiarism wrong?
Plagiarism is wrong for three reasons;

Firstly, it is wrong because it is a form of theft. By taking the ideas and words of others and pretending they are your own, you are stealing someone else’s intellectual property.

Secondly, it is unethical because the plagiarizer subsequently benefits from this theft. In the sense that all the praise supposed to be acclaimed by the original author now comes to you plagiarizer.

Thirdly, a degree is evidence of its holder’s abilities and knowledge. If a student gains employment on the basis of a qualification they have not earned, they may be a risk to others.

How To Avoid Plagiarism
1 Cite your source
When alluding to an idea or wording that’s not your own, add a citation in your writing that identifies the full name of the source, the date it was published, and any other citation element that’s required by the style guide you’re adhering to.source

2 Include quotations
If you insert a source’s words into your writing, verbatim, one of the most simple yet obvious ways to avoid plagiarism is by using quotation marks around the text to denote that the words aren’t your own. A direct quote should also cite the source so that readers know who the quote is from.source

  1. Present your own idea
    Rather than parroting the source's thoughts or words, find out what you need to say about it. Ask yourself what special viewpoint or point you can contribute in your composing that is completely your own. Remember that in case you're implying a source's thoughts or words to outline your own point, you'll in any case need to apply the rules above to abstain from copying.

If you post and want to include an image that is not yours, you can use photos from the following websites that are free to use. Please add the link to the image source in your post.
