Achievement #2: @kwamewise Task - Basic Security On Steem

Hello Steemit Community, I feel very enthusiastic to be with this community and move through my Steemit journey very fast and quickly.

By the way, many thanks to @oppongk, @njaywan, @cryptokannon and @menak who through them I'm mentoring how to post and do things right.

What is Security in Steem?

I believe the core mandate for one to own steem token is based on being protected due to his secrete keys known only to him. Therefore it's very imperative to keep one's keys avails here in steem.

First of all, security here is related to Steem passwords or keys generated as soon as one joins Steem. The first key one is given, which I think it should be kept confidential is the "Master password." Simply because it opens to all the keys. Apart from the Master password, which is revealed directly to the Steem user, all the keys in Steem are hidden.
My pleasure having passed through achievement #1 stage. This had led me learnt so many things in order to proceed to Achievement #2 Task.

My task here in this Achievement #2 is to know basic Security in Steem.

Question 1
Have you retrieve all your keys on steemit?

• Yes, I have retrieved all the keys on Steemit.

Question2
Do you know each of these key functions and restrictions?

• Yes, I know most of the functions of the keys and their restrictions. For instance, the Master key, helps me to reveal and have access to all the private keys like: "private posting key, private active key, and memo key."

The private posting key aid for posting, commenting, muting and resteeming other people's posts.

Private active key also helps to transfer steem tokens. In many instances when one trades his steem token, he is required to enter his private active key.

How do you plan to keep your master password?

• I have kept my Master password well saved on line and printed copy in case I lose it online.

Question 4
Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?

Yes, in my wallet, I will just select option- transfer which opens another page where I will enter the user name and the amount to transfer. Here, private active key is needed to transfer to the steem user.

Question 5
Do you know how to power up your STEEM?

• Yes, when I have steem liquid in my wallet, I just select power up option, and click on power up. It will automatically power up my account.

Conclusion

I am still learning more and would want to know more by the end of all the Six Achievement Tasks.
