How are you doing today? Please stay with me as I write about the various keys on steemit as we all know that was given to us during our signing up on steemit.
I have been able to download my keys
DIFFERENCES TYPES OF KEYS AND THEIR FUNCTIONS
MASTER PASSWORD:
The master password is the password given to you during your signing up which should be kept safe as it can be used to access an account and mostly it is used to generate other keys.
OWNERS KEY:
The owners key is only needed when the need arises, and it is the strongest key because it can change any specific key of an account. It is used to regain a compromised account.
ACTIVE KEY:
The active key is for transferring funds, power up or power down transaction, converting steem dollars, voting for witnesses, updating profile details and placing a market order
POSTING KEY:
The posting key is what allows accounts to post, comment, edit, resteem and follow or mute other accounts. And it is adviceable for steemit users to login smeemit everyday with the posting key.
MEMO:
The memo key is used for encrypting and decrypting memos when transferring funds. And in order to encrypt a memo, use the pound/#sign before it.
This keys are all very important so it is a most that you keep all this keys safe place that only you can access properly because you might not regain your account if these keys are lost. And you are warned never to allow any third party to access your account.
I plan to save my master key in my in a safe place that only I can access
I have practiced how to transfer,buy and sell steem token to another steem wallet which I will be illustrating below.
•I will click transfer
• after clicking transfer I will redirected to the next page 👇 and I will input who's account I want to transfer to.
•And If I want to buy tokens with my Claimed SBD or Steem Power will have to click the three line indicated at the top right to find "Currency Market" and click it.
•After clicking it I will be redirected to this page 👇👇👇
And it's where I will buy or sell my tokens
•After buy I will be able to withdraw to another wallet
•this is the next page I will be redirected after clicking "Withdraw"👇👇👇 and I will input the amount of steem I want to withdraw
•after I input the amount of steem I want to withdraw I will click next and I will redirected to the next page to input the receive name or wallet name and memo
