INTRODUCTION

IMG-20210501-WA0011.jpg

My name is Ogochukwu Moses Aroh. I was born in 17th July 1992 from the family of Mr and Mrs Aroh Joseph Maduka. I am a native of Eha_Alumona in Nsukka local government area of Enugu State, Nigeria. My father married two wives where my mummy came as first wife and i am also the first child to my mummy and the only child.
Life was not fair enough to my parents so in 1998, my parents sent me to live with one family as a baby carrier at my age. Then i was about 7 years, tender and naive too. I was subjected to doing some house chorse bigger than me like going to fetch water with 10litres and some other strenous jobs. I missed my parents so much but what can i do, no one to pamper me like my mother used to do, in fact i was helpless but i endured.
The family had no child as at the time i came to live with them but miraclously in 1999, God gave them a bouncing baby boy, Junior. Then i know that more work load is coming aside washing dishes and clothes and subsequently a baby carrier. I could recall being accused of pintching the baby and sometimes she gives me the beating of my life. I will cry and console myself. Plans for for my education was far away from the family plans and so i continued hoping to be free some day.
My year of redemption came, in same 1999, i was summoned to come home and probably stay with my Aunty who resides in Ngwo, a town in Enugu State. I was enrolled at the third term in one of government school where i was admitted in primary three, meanwhile i have never been to school before but may be because of my early maturity which i had while growing up. No primary one(1) to two(2), you could imagine the delima jumping to primary three(3) crazy right? But i was happy though even though i couldn't read nor write.
After the end third term in that school, Christmas was already around the corner. So we travelled home for christmas celebration which usually bring every other family members home. I was happy since i will get to meet my parents again may be spend one or two weeks with them, a glimps of joy and hope filled my heart.
After the family meeting in January, my parents agreed that i will journey to Lagos with my Aunty, Mrs chinenye. I went with them, she was so fund of me. So caring, loving and treated me as if she was my biological mother even though she had no child after many years of marriage due to series of Miscariages. She could see that i virtually know little or nothing. So she decided to enrolled me into an extra curriculum class. Then i can't even read nor write letters or numbers. The ghanian man was so kind. He taught me how to hold pencil to write letters to two letter words. i was learning so quickly and i was begining to love every bite school.
I was returned back home. My Uncle then complained that my Aunty can't give me proper training and subsequently learn the customs and tradition of my people. Even though my mummy will but i didn't like it at all.
Back home in the village, i was enrolled into primary 5 in Olive child nursery and primary school in 2001. I can now speak english now and can also ready and write, so it was very easy for me but not all that easy because those classes that skip was begining to dawn on me. Then i developed the habbit of reading at night while others are sleeping and it really helped greatly even till date. In 2002 i wrote my first leaving certificate exam(common entrance). I passed all my papers with flying colours and same time i passed the entrance exam of my favorite school but couldn't attend the seminary. School because of money.I later got admission in one government public school, Ezike high School where i was admitted into Jss 1.
In 2004, my mummy fell sick. On 26th January 2005, my mummy died after a brief illness. After the burial rite, then i was in Jss3, my Aunty who reside in United Kingdom promised to take me to abroad which she did. After my Junior waec, joined my Aunty in United Kingdom as her adoptd son. I had the permanent visa to remain in UK since she was a UK citizen too. I was so happy but little did i know i was making the greatest mistake of my life.
My introduction will stop but i will detail you more as i talk about my educational background from Nigeria to United Kingdom.

MY PASSION

While i was growing up as a teenager, i had this ardent affection for cooking. I don't know whether it has to do with me being the only child from my mummy. I could remeber being in the kitchen with my mother when i was living wirth her and my aunties. It was an unforgetful exprience i had while growing up and came to develop even more passion for cooking more than anything else but not as career. So i loved humanitrian services also and promised myself that i must work in health sectors either as a medical doctor or nurse even as i am still battling today as i am going to tell you about my education.

MY EDUCATION

In 1999 i was enrolled in a government public school into primary three without any prior knowledge either in primary one or two in Ngwo and also being the third term of the school year. Ngwo is a town in Enugu State. On December 2000 i went for christmas holiday. I didn't come back with them back to Ngwo. My Aunty who resides in Lagos took me along side with her. When i got lagos i was enrolled into extra curriculum class. Since i didn't know anything i had to start with identification of alphabet and numbers . i was also taught on how to read and write begining with two letter words and so on. But then it wasn't easy because my aunty beat me often and i always feel like she really hate me but she is the architect of my success today academically.
I was letter sent back to the village in 2001 where my parents enrolled me into primary five(5). God being so merciful i didn't find it difficult since i can now read and write.
The 2002 came, i past my common entrance with flying colours . i was later got admission into Ezeike community secondary school. The academic year run smoothly as usually, always topping my class. But behind my success there was a sacrifices i made and that is my sleepless night. My sleepless night eventaully paid off as the evidence refflected in my junior waec certificate exams in year 2005.
The same year i travelled to United kingdom after the burial rite of my beloved mother. When i got to United Kingdom, i waited to 2007 before i started school.
I was enrolled into kingsdale foundation school in Southwark.

As at then i was 15 years and due to the British system of education i was meant to be im year 11 which is an exam class. Imagine JSS3 student to SS3 in a foreign country but i was determined to make it happen again. My pastor's wife solicited to help me since she own a private secondary in North London after looking at my predicament and even asked my foster mother not worry about the school untill i start working but she refused and said must go to the public school.
I got enrolled into year 11. My teachers gave me the necessary support i need but of course it won't be easy. The even arranged for extra curriculum class for the exam class but she deprived me the opportunity. Even the text books recommended she still refused to buy for me. I was verbally and physically abused. I had to prepare my little niece about three to school before going to mine. Even when i finish on time at least before 7am, she will ask me to sit down until it clocks 8am before going to drop them in their school before going to mine. Some times before i got to school,First and second classes is over and yet immediately my school dismissed i will race down to pick them in north London where they are schooling.
Most of the time she gives me the beating of my life saying that i kept the children outside for long.
I wrote my GSCE with one course call Health and social care that has six module with that little time and horrible situation. I had pass in that course and some grade was not good.
I further went college, in Crossways college in Lewisham,

southeast London close to where i live. I was to do A level programme but she wouldn't allow me either. To frustrate me more suggested learning plumbing work since she has properties so that i could work for her and subsequently work as a plumber but i didn't say anything.
December 2010 i came back to Nigeria and same time seized my passport till date. Ieaving my certificate and all my effort. I tried waec in 2011 but couldn't make and wrote GCE exams and same problem. In the year 2019 i still sat for another waec which i then made all my papers and i have decided never depend in anybody and also determined to get my PHD by God's grace.

CAREER

I came to Onitsha in the year 2012 where i stayed with one family that accomodated, fed me and even supornsed one of the WAEC that i wrote but didn't make it. I started working in the family's company where they produce women ribbon, shower cap, hair net and so on. I wasn't paid but i feed very well and was happy too.
In the 2014 i travelled to uyo where i worked for one company named Worldcell Technology limited through the family's connection. The first three months working for the company i was not paid but i live in the company's quarters and also feed there. The company eventually fixed me on a 25,000 salary which is paid monthly and still living in the company's quarter. The same year i got another job offer with Gionee company as inventory manager. Through my Boss and still kept my current job, so i was receiving 25,000 and 30,000 from Gionee. till 2016 when i now got my own apartment. In 2018, the company ran into bankrupsy due to bad management. Then i worked as company accountant. So i have to resign from Gionee to manage the bisiness but all to no avail. My Boss later gave the place out and i was left with nothing. The seven months i worked for was not paid. Then i later got a new place through the help of Boss as sales floor representative at Mckings System and i am currently working there till date.

HOBBY

I love cooking so much. Aside that i also like reading short stories and motivational books.
