What is meant by plagiarism?

As well as University Of Oxford:
Plagiarism is presenting work or ideas from another source as your own, with or without consent of the original author, by incorporating it into your work without full acknowledgement. All published and unpublished material, whether in manuscript, printed or electronic form, is covered under this definition, as is the use of material generated wholly or in part through use of artificial intelligence (save when use of Artificial Intelligence - AI for assessment has received prior authorisation e.g. as a reasonable adjustment for a student’s disability). Plagiarism can also include re-using your own work without citation. Under the regulations for examinations, intentional or reckless plagiarism is a disciplinary offence.

If I have to answer in one word about plagiarism then I would say plagiarism is stealing someone else's creativity and claiming it as your own, publishing it somewhere, and taking credit from others. For example, it can be said that a person has posted on a platform to present his creativity, a list, a drawing, sketching, or any writing that the person himself has written, done, or presented on a platform with his own talent. It is called plagiarism if someone copies part or all of it without informing the person who wrote it. Worst job ever. Showcase your creativity Respect the creativity of others. Do not accept plagiarism as totally forbidden and live by yourself and help others.

Mosaic Plagiarism:-
This is another type of unintentional plagiarism. This is where the plagiarist may have cited the source of the content. If they don't acknowledge the quoted portion or place the quoted material correctly in quotation marks, the writer is guilty of plagiarism.

|Self-Plagiarism: |

Self-plagiarism is one of the common types of plagiarism, where writers, often students, copy and paste part of their previously submitted work. If a student submits identical work for two different classes projects without consulting the teacher, it is self-plagiarism. or

These are just a few of the points that I understand about plagiarism. How to avoid it, and what to do if you commit plagiarism. Also, plagiarism can bring down the reputation of the user and the Steemit platform as a whole. Materials, texts, quotes, pictures, etc. that you have not created should be properly cited.

I have read and comprehended the Steemit Etiquette of the Steemit Community. I will do my best in embracing them.
