Achievement 2 Task by @monjuagnes. Task: Basic Security On Steemit

Hello steemit crew am here to present to you my achievement 2 Task which is on Basic Security on steemit.

Question 1

Have you retrieve all your keys on steemit?

Oh yes I have retrieved them. It's not easy to keep the keys off hand. So what I have done is I have retrieved the keys and saved in my special dairy where only me has access to. I have also saved them in my Yahoo mail and also in my Gmail. Where I have kept all these keys are safe only I can gain access to.

Question 2

Do you know each of these key function and restrictions?

Yes I have learn and understood the functions and restrictions of these keys. The explanations will be given below.

Master key: This key is the most important key on steemit as it is used to to access every other thing on your account. This key is can be used to retrieve every other key if other keys get missing. It should not be used to vote resteem etc.

Posting key: The posting key is give you the ability to post,comment,edit, vote, resteem, and follow or mute other accounts. This is why it's good to use the posting key to log into one's account. We don't use the posting key to transfer funds on steemit.

Active key: The active keys are one of the most used keys on steemit. As one can use it for monetary purposes on steemit. We use the active keys to transfer funds, it's also you to power or power down transactions, to vote for witnesses, convert steem Dollars. One can use it to update ones profile details and avatar and also to place market order.

##Owner key: This key is used only when necessary. It is one of those keys that are not commonly use. It is the most powerful of all the key as it is used to recover one's account.

Memo key: The memo key is that key which we can use to create memos. It is also use to encrypt and receipt private messages.

Public keys: Every key has a public and a private key version. Mostly these keys are not used.

Question 3

How do you plan to keep your master key?

I have made copies of my master key and kept it in my private dairy where only me has access to. I have also saved it in my Yahoo mail as draft and also in my Gmail account as draft.

Question 4

Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?

Yes I do and this is how you can do it
Firstly go to wallet click on the three lines up to your right and sign in to activate your wallet

When you have activated your wallet, go to the first place on the steem account and click on transfer

When it's open input the account name you want to transfer steem to. And also add your memo key to it in order to validate your transfer of steem. Here is what you do

When you are done you click on the button that shows "next" the next page will be for you to confirm the transactions. Here you will need to check if the person you are transferring steem to if you have inputted the right information. When you are done checking click on the ok button

The above steps shows how steem tokens are transferred from one account to another.

Question 5

Do you know how to power up your steem?

Yes I know how to power up my steem and here is how to;
First click on your wallet, you click on the first steem with green as the arrow is pointing down and it will show you power up as seen below

When you have clicked on power up, the next page will require that you input the steem amount you want to convert to steem power. When you have done that, add your memo key in the box meant for memo, finish by clicking on the power up button

When you have click on the power up button the next page is for you to preview what you have inputted, if it's correct, you click on "Ok" to complete your power up as seen below

The above steps are steps used to power up steem.
