Hello Everyone,
How are you all doing?
I hope you all are great.
Haven completed my achievement 2 and been verified. I am going to proceed to undertake my achievement 3 task which is a topic about Plagiarism.
The issue of plagiarism is one that is not uncommon. For me the growing issue of plagiarism is one being watered when individuals fail to use their own initiative in making their creation. Put differently, Plagiarism surfaces as a result of lack of initiative thinking and creativity in an individual.
Most times, using other people's idea to shed light on your key idea is not bad,but the condition of not giving a proper reference of the cited idea calls for plagiarism.

With this what then is Plagiarism?
Plagiarism is the act of reproducing the exact or near idea of another excluding the effort to make reference to the original creator or author of that idea, work or concept.
Wikipedia defines Plagiarism as "the representation of another author's language, thoughts, ideas,or expressions as one's own original work"
From the above given definitions,it can be deduced that plagiarism is the deliberate act of an author rebranding or recoloring another's idea to be one's own idea.
Plagiarism is unethical and shows a clear display of lack of professionalism, creativity and literal integrity in a writer therefore it should be avoided.
On the other hand,no one is an encyclopedia of knowledge,if there is need for expressing fully one's idea using others, one should employ viable ways rather than "to steal and pass off the idea as one's own"-Merriam Webster Online Dictionary.
Scribbr.com,opines in the usage of another author's idea in your writing, "that doesn't mean you can't use other researchers' idea -building on others' work is a key part of academic writing. But it's important to clearly distinguish your own words and ideas from those of your source"
Given the consequences of Plagiarism,Scribbr.com outlines simple rules one can follow to avoid plagiarism.
"-when you want to include an exact phrase, sentence or passage from a source, use a quotation."
"- when you want to express an idea or information from a source, paraphrase or summarize it entirely in your own words."
"- always cite the source when you quote, paraphrase or summarize"

This does not only bring to light your literal integrity but also exposes your transparency in acknowledging the original creator's effort and intended credit. It goes further to show one's professionalism in the world of writing, given one's ability to research extensively on the course of a given subject of interest.
In summary of this given knowledge on Content Etiquette,I will like to say that "I have read and understood the Steemit Etiquette on Steemit Community and will do my best to embrace them.
