Have you retrieved all your keys in steemit?
Yes I did, I have retrieved it after creating my account and saved it in my email for security purpose.
Do you know each of this keys functions and restrictions?
Yes I know, after getting my pdf I went through it to comprehend every aspect of it and also get support from family and friends.
Posting keys
These keys make it easy to edit text, post content, comment, reply comment, comment on posts etc. The posting keys does prevent one's account from being compromised.
Active Key
This key is used to control one's wallet. It is a private key and shows ownership of the wallet. It is used for converting steem to steem dollar, transferring funds, powering up and down, etc.
Owner key
The owner key is used to retrieve an account which has been compromised and can also be used to change keys. It performs the same function as the function key and is also known as the power key.
Memo key
The memo key is used in creating memo's during the transfer of funds. It is can also be used in encrypting and decrypting memo's.
How do you plan to keep your master password?
This is the secret key of all the keys. It is used to recover an account and when missing, users can't access it again.
I have saved mine in my email for security purpose and easy access to it anytime.
How to transfer your steem token to another steem user account
- You first click on the avatar icon and select wallet from the pop up menu that appears.
- Sign into the wallet with your active Key and user name
- Click on steem and select transfer from the Pop up menu.
- Fill the details of the person you want to
transferr the steem to and click on okay
- click next and confirm.
Do you know how to power up your steem
Yes I do!
- With your private key, sign into your wallet
- Click on your steem token and click on power up from the pop up menu.
- Input the amount of steem you want to power up and click on power up.
- Click on okay to confirm.
