Hello my fellow steemians
I hope you are all having a good time?
I will like to discuss the various steemit keys that were given to us during our steemit sing up process.
The discussion will entails key types and their functions.

KEY TYPES AND THEIR FUNCTIONS
MASTER PASSWORD
The master password is the one that was given when you signed up, and it should be kept secret because it can be used to access the account and create additional keys as well.

THE OWNER'S KEY:
The owner's key is only used when absolutely necessary, and it is the most powerful key. it can alter any account's key. It's used to reclaim a hacked password.

ACTIVE KEY:
The active key is used to send money, perform power up/down transactions, convert steem dollars, vote for witnesses, update profile information, and place a market order.

POSTING KEY:
Posting key is what enables users to post, comment, edit, vote, resteem, and follow or unfollow other users. It is also recommended that users use the posting key to log in to Smeemit every day.

MEMO:
Memo key is used to encrypt and decrypt memos throughout fund transfers. Use the pound/#sign before a memo to encrypt it.
Since these keys are so valuable, it's critical that you keep them secure. If you lose them, you may not be able to recover your account. You are also warned not to give anyone else access to your account.

I will like to show you how to transfer steem tokens to another steem user account, and I'll show you how below.

login to your wallet like mine , sign in with your active key and clicked on steem dollars drop down arrow.
I clicked on transfer

Then you type in the username of the person to whom you want to transfer to.
Finally, you will make a memo, submit and confirm with your active key.
