Greetings to you and welcome to my post. In this post, I have discussed about Plagiarism as my achievement 3 fast which is titled: "Content Etiquette". Let's take a look at my discussion about Etiquette first before looking at Plagiarism.

What is Etiquette

Okay friend, the word Etiquette" is just a rules and regulations that is set to guild the conduct of one activities in a certain organization or platform like Steemit. So this means that etiquette is the standard that we ought to follow when publishing content in this great platform called steemit.

Types of Etiquette

There are several types of Etiquette that can be found in any organization or platforms and some of them are as follows;

  • Work place etiquette
  • Table manner and meal etiquette
  • Professionalism etiquette
  • Communication etiquette
  • Meetings etiquette.

Now that we have briefly understand what Etiquette is all about let's take a look at what is Plagiarism.

What is Plagiarism

Plagiarism: is a process of using someone else's work knowing or unknowingly as your own.this might be in the process of copying or paraphrasing someones published or unpublished work without proper information from the author.

"Plagiarism is presenting someone else’s work or ideas as your own, with or without their consent, by incorporating it into your work without full acknowledgement. All published and unpublished material, whether in manuscript, printed or electronic form, is covered under this definition. Plagiarism may be intentional or reckless, or unintentional. Under the regulations for examinations, intentional or reckless plagiarism is a disciplinary offence."

We can also see from the definition of University Oxford what plagiarism is all about.

Types of Plagiarism:

Basically, there are different types of plagiarism that we need to avoid as a content writer and some of these Plagiarism are mentioned below;

  • Self Plagiarism
  • Direct Plagiarism
  • Accidental Plagiarism
  • Paraphrasing Plagiarism
  • Complete Plagiarism
  • patchwork plagiarism
  • Source based Plagiarism

Self Plagiarism:
This is the type of Plagiarism that occurs when a user reposted his/her own post without referencing it.

Complete plagiarism
This is occur when a writer submits someone else's work in their own name. Paying somebody to write a paper for you, then handing that paper in with your name on it, is an act of complete plagiarism as is stealing or "borrowing" someone's work and submitting it as your own.
