Achievement - 3 - Post Etiquette - Make Study A Passion

in hive-172186 •  4 years ago  (edited)

As you can guess from the topic, I'm going to discuss how to make study a passion. I'm a student of class XI. This year, I gave my board exams. My results would be out till 15 July. I had been a topper of my class till Class IX in CBSE board. I'm not too much experienced but I'll try to share the experience I have till now so that it may help you.

Hello friends! So, how are you all now? I'm back to achieve the achievement 3. I've already posted achievements 1 and 2. It's good to share your passion with others in which you're good. It is beneficial for others.

So, now, let's come on the topic. First, the students who say," I don't like studying. I sleep whenever I go to study." I've one thing to say to them. No one likes studying from the starting. If you have interest in something, then you will study by your own. For example, you're interested in playing, so you play by your own. There is no need to tell you to go to the ground to play because you are interested in playing.

For studying, you should have interest in it. Then, your next question would be," How to make study interesting?" Anything would be not interesting until you are not curious about that thing. You will feel it in a few minutes.

By studying, you will get to know various common things to know about your world which you ignore everyday. Let me give an example to you. We all see that the sun rises in the East and sets in the West. But you guys have ever tried to know why does it always rises in the East and sets in the west. Why doesn't the sun rises in the West and sets in the East? Now, literally, tell me, if you're curious to know or not.

Very interesting fact and simple though. The reason is that the Earth moves West to East on its axis. Now, if you don't understand, then, I have an example to let you feel how it happens. Now, go into any room and stand in its centre position. Now, move from West to East in your room 5-6 times continuously (don't get unconscious). You will feel that the room moves East to West around you. Now considering yourself as Earth and the room as the sun, you can easily understand. This is what actually happens in our universe. If you don't understand, then let me know in the comment section.

Now, if you are curious, then surely you will go to the book in which it is explained. This is the book which your teachers and parents say you to read daily and you don't read. And surely, you will get to know these type of infinite facts when you study. So, I think, being curious to know, what is happening around you and why is that happening, is very important to study.

Now, if you're interested in studies, then you will surely do your studies. No one will need to tell you to study and you will sit for studying yourself.

Then, the students, who say," I feel sleepy whenever I read." , come. This is due to various reasons. Now, notice how. You are studying lying on the bed. Then, it is sure you will fall asleep. In my opinion, the best place to study is a chair followed by a table. There is no chance to sleep while sitting on the chair. Now, if you fall asleep even on the chair, it means you are really feeling sleepy. In the case, you should sleep first.

Now, the question arises, how much to study. In reality, there is not any fixed time to study. A fixed time of study is only for starters who start to study so that they can have at least a habit of studying.

If you ask from me, how much to study, I will tell to study until your work finishes. Before studying, you should make a strategy of what to complete today and till when to complete. You should study until it doesn't complete. (Now, don't make impossible strategies.) The strategy of a beginner should be easy and then increase the level of it day by day. Then, you will have the habit of studying everyday, and soon, after sometime, it will become your passion.

For this, I would give my own example. Now, I'm going to tell my own story. When I was in eighth standard, I got 97%. Well, it is easy to score because in our school, internal questions were not asked till eighth standard. Only exercise questions were asked. So, I had a limited amount of questions. Well, I would share the result with you.

Now, it doesn't mean that I studied all the day! My school is in Dugda. It is nearly 4-5 kilometres far from my house, though, I went on a bicycle. I came back from school and then ate the lunch. Then, after resting for half an hour, I went to play for about 1 hour 30 minutes. In case of a holiday, I went to play both time in the morning as well as in the evening for 2-3 hours each time. You won't believe but I also played one day before examinations. My friends didn't want to come. But I requested them and went to play with them.

Well, I was also scolded at my home for playing one day before examinations. But still, I played and told them that I have completed my works. So, I would go. Nowadays, parents think that exams mean children should not go out of their homes. I think this is really wrong. Well, this is a different matter, so, I would not say much about this.

Now, from the nineth standard, internal questions were begin to be asked. There was no value of exercise questions. So, Sir told us to read the chapters very thoroughly. They also asked us to make questions as much as we could as every line is a question. So, at first, I completed my notes which had various questions and I had faith that there would not be a single question out of my notes. Well, it also happened.

There's an internal assessment in July. So, completed all the writing work (i.e., making notes) till the half of the summer vacation. Then, I learned them in half of the summer vacation.

Well, I realised that S.St. Is the most difficult subject for me. In S.St., mainly history. So, I studied history the most. I forgot the most topics of this subject if I did't revise it once in one week. Actually, I haven't a little bit interest in this subject. Well, I thought only that I have to read this subject for more two years.

The other subject, which I didn't need to revise much, was Science. I have very much interest in this subject. I remembered most of the topics while making notes. The rest topics I managed one day before exams because it was easy to revise for me.

The other subjects are languages- English, Sanskrit and Hindi. In these subjects, I completed the notes of the chapter on which the chapter ended. I studied them only one day before class tests. Otherwise, I studied them only during exams as these subjects are not too hard.

But my grammar wasn't strong in English in IX. Sir told me to work hard in it because I got only 50% marks in Grammar in class tests. My grammar was very poor. But, then, I studied my first tuition in tenth standard. I haven't gone for a tuition before it. I read the tuition only for a month because of various reasons. But in this one month, I had learned various things from him. Narration, voice and tense. One of the reasons of joining the tuition was to check the strategy - how sir taught grammar in the tuition.

From then on, I practised them regularly. For 1 hour, I studied English grammar daily. And my hard work bore fruits. Soon, I started to get 80-90% marks in English grammar in class tests. I, with my two more friends, representing the school won the English Quiz (the questions were related to grammar) held in the State level. That was a great achievement for me. I was very happy on that day. The subject, in which I was the weakest, became my strength in just 6 months. Here is the certificate.

Next subject is Maths. It is a very interesting subject. The Maths of class 9 is full of proofs. Well, it was very interesting for me. In Maths, I prepared the notes of the chapter before Sir completed that in the school. It seemed very easy to me. I completed the NCERT maths book before my examinations. Then, I studied R.D. Sharma 4-5 days before the examinations.

Now, this is my result of IX. I got 95% in half yearly exams and 94% in the final exams. In English, my writing skill was not developed too much, so it's marks are not good.

I scored 96% in the half yearly exam of class X. But, the result was taken from us. Anyway, I had taken the picture of the result. Here it is...

But, in tenth standard, I didn't go to play from January. Not because of my parents, but because I didn't want. From 9th class, I learned various things. Study had become a passion for me. Therefore, there was no desire to play. But, it doesn't mean that I studied all the time. I watched PUBG videos and various funny videos on YouTube. But there was no physical work. So, I started to do exercises from them on so that, I could remain fit.

My pre board result was not given by the school. So, I don't know about it.

So, this was how I made study a passion.

I hope this post would be helpful to you. I will be very grateful to you if you could suggest me more tips.
