PLAGIARISM is the representation of another author's language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions as one's own original work. In educational contexts, there are differing definitions of plagiarism depending on the institution. Plagiarism is considered a violation of academic integrity and a breach of journalistic ethics.

PARAPHRASING PLAGIARISM: Improper paraphrasing is a very common form of plagiarism. This occurs when one lifts a direct phrase from another work and changes just a few words - and then claims the work as wholly their own. ... Paraphrasing is simply a way of putting someone else's ideas into your own words - it does not make the idea your own.

COMPLETE PLAGIARISM: the most severe form of plagiarism where a researcher takes a manuscript or study that someone else created, and submits it under his or her name. It is tantamount to intellectual theft and stealing.

SELF PLAGIARISM: means reusing work that you have already published or submitted for a class. It can involve re-submitting an entire paper, copying or paraphrasing passages or excerpts, or recycling previously-collected data.

Self-plagiarism misleads your readers by presenting previous work as completely new and original. If you want to include any text, ideas, or data that you already submitted in a previous assignment, be sure to inform your reader by citing.

HOW TO AVOID PLAGIARISM

1.Cite all sources that you use, including web
Pages

2 .Don't rush. ...

3.Learn the guidelines of your citation method. ...

4.When you quote someone – make it clear. ...

5.Make sure to organize your reference list in a proper way. ...

6.Do not pay anyone to write a research paper for you.
