BACKGROUND TO THE POST
Insecurity abounds both virtually and materially, hence the need for proper security against cyber criminals or fraudsters.

According to wikipedia 2018 Cybercrime, or computer-oriented crime , is a crime that involves a
computer and a network . The computer may have been used in the commission of a crime, or it may be the target. Cybercrime may threaten a person , company or a nation 's security and financial health.

There are many privacy concerns surrounding cybercrime when confidential information is intercepted or disclosed, lawfully or otherwise. Debarati Halder and K. Jaishankar further define cybercrime from the perspective of gender and defined 'cybercrime against women' as "Crimes targeted against women with a motive to intentionally harm the victim psychologically and physically, using modern telecommunication networks such as internet and mobile phones". Internationally, both governmental and non-state actors engage in cybercrimes, including espionage , financial theft , and other cross-border crimes. Cybercrimes crossing international borders and involving the actions of at least one nation-state is sometimes referred to as cyberwarfare.source

A report (sponsored by McAfee), published in 2014, estimated that the annual damage to the global economy was $445 billion. Approximately $1.5 billion was lost in 2012 to online credit and debit card fraud in the US. In 2018, a study by Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), in partnership with McAfee, concludes that close to $600 billion, nearly one percent of global GDP, is lost to cybercrime each year.source

STEEMIT AND CYBERCRIME/CRIMINALS
Steemit has made effort to protect its subscribers from potential danger from cyber criminals, some of these efforts includes creation of customised security for different functions on your account. Lets discus some of the keys and their functions

Master key/password : The master password is for your first signing in into steemit to derive all keys for your account. If someone has access to your master password, they can steal your account and all of the tokens in it. Lets now discuss on the other keys that can be generated from the master key and their uses.

Owner key : This is the most powerful key because it can change any key of an account, including the owner key. Because of this use, it is advised to be stored offline, and can only be used to recover a compromised account.
Master key and Owner key behaves alike but differs in some area.
Master Password is used to generate all the other keys, including the Owner Key. The
only reason you should be using your Master Password is when you are going through the account recovery.
The Master Password is the password you get upon signing up. You should then take that password, go to your Steemit.com wallet, retrieve all the other keys, and only use those keys going forward.

Active key :The active key is used when there is more sensitive tasks such as transferring funds, power up/down transactions, converting Steem Dollars, voting for witnesses, updating profile details and avatar, and placing a market order.

Posting key :The posting key allows account owners to post, comment, edit, vote, resteem, and follow or mute other accounts. In most cases, users usually log into Steemit every day with the posting key.
One key is remaining that is not represented in the diagram above the key is "memo key"

Memo key :This key is used for encrypting and decrypting memos when transferring funds. In order to encrypt a memo, use the pound/# sign before it.original

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO KNOW ABOUT THE KEYS?
It is important learning about those keys and it's uses because losing them such as the owner key entails that the account has been lost and cannot be retrieved, thereby costing the account owner his growth, progress and earnings on STEEMIT.original

Hi @paraclator26 , I see considerable percentage of your article is with plagiarism.

Alright thanks am sure to do so

@besticofinder the changes has been effected on the post , citations have been made an sources has been attached .
Thanks for the correction

Thanks @steemcurator01.

@paraclator26, I think you need to provide your own version of the answer to the questions. Yea, it's obvious you understand the uses of the keys and how important it is to secure your account but I would advice you to write in a simple way with your own English and reduce copy and paste info from other sources, even if correctly cited. It would be better if you can rephrase the plagiarized part of your content and do a massive editing.

One of the achievement you will pass through is publishing a post about plagiarism and other stuff, so you need to understand that now. You are still new to things here so we understand and we are always happy to support and guide. I am a country rep from Nigeria. Please feel free to tag and contact me if you need any help. Thanks brother.

@beautychicks Thank you very much for that information am writing a totally new one to change the formal after writing i will tag you
Once again am grateful to have you grace my post

I would be expecting more posts from you.
Try to reply to @besticofinder telling him that you have effected correction on your Achievement 2 post.

I will be expecting your Achievement 3 post soon.
