Hello fellow steemians, It's a thing of joy to have me posting in steemit. I do know that you have a splendid day. My primary concern is to write on plagiarism.

Plagiarism definition.
Plagiarism is an act of copying an already written and published academic work without proper acknowledgement or referencing of the owner.
It is a way of making a post which is originally not your own but presenting it as if you are the rightful owner.
This has several medium which it can happen, be it a printed article, non printed article it boils to one thing unacknowledged copying and it is not healthy to the society.

Forms of plagiarism
Auto plagiarism:
This occurs when a writter adopts or copies his written work whether purposely or unintentionally into a new post or article without citation.

Inaccurate citation
Where the genuine source of your work is not reachable it is pertinent to mention the secondary source of the write particularly using a footnote. It is also required that if not properly consulted the owner of listed sources the reference and the biblography section should be left blank.

Collusion
Where collusion is involved it is necessary that the writer specifies the level of collaboration. This can be attributed to a students who fails to recognize the collaboration received in the course of his assignment.

Types of plagiarism
Direct plagiarism
This takes the form of direct copy and drop post (verbatim) word by word copying without acknowledgement of the original owner of the work. It is a theft of the original wrting into a new writing.
It is thereby advisable to enclosed such copied work with a quotation marks also reference the owner to avoid problem.

Self plagiarism
As the name implies self. This type of plagiarism is copying of your already published work to a new piece or article and making it looks new.

Mosaic plagiarism
This type of plagiarism is by paraphrasing words, the writer makes a change of words combined with his own ideas to make a piece of writing. This type of plagiarism is difficult to detect as the original sentences or words are not hijacked directly to the new piece of writing which can make the original owner to detect immediately.

Accidental Plagiarism
This type of plagiarism is not always on purpose but
When a writer fails to cite a a copied work "source" or forgets the quotation by accident, mistaken citation or no citation atall accidentally are all plagiarism.
