Apple cider vinegar (ACV) is available and not prohibitively expensive. It has been a traditional home remedy for arthritis for a long time due to its healing and health-promoting properties.
The positive experience of people is its greatest recommendation, for example, Sir Ranulph Fiennes, a British explorer, cured his arthritis symptoms by simply mixing apple cider vinegar and honey.
Why apple cider vinegar?
ACV gets its sharp and tart taste from the acetic acid. This acid provides an alkalizing effect when metabolized and help increase the absorption of calcium into the body. Also, ACV contains many vitamins and minerals that offer beneficial effects as well as powerful polyphenolic compounds such as catechin, epicatechin, quercetin, and chlorogenic acid.
Not all types of ACV are effective. Use pure vinegar naturally fermented from apple cider, one that is unfiltered and unprocessed. The liquid should have a cloudy appearance which is called the “mother of vinegar”.
