In #Achievement 1, I have done my job by introducing myself to the Steemians. #Achievement 2, I will try to do this task clearly so that Steemians understand the security of your account.
In this article I will explain about the security function of each key and how to use it on a Steemit account. An explanation so that Steemians are safe from ignorant hands who try to have or access your account. This article also helps Steemians to keep the assets in your account.
As all Steemians know, the password is the key to login to the account. In the Steem account, the password is divided into several parts according to the action we are going to perform, so we must be able to distinguish the purpose of each key that we receive when we download the pdf file when we first log in.
- Post Button
The post button allows accounts to post, comment, edit, vote, rate, and follow or deactivate other accounts. Most users have to log into Steemit with the release key every day. - Active lock
Active keys are used for more sensitive tasks such as transferring funds, initiating/closing transactions, converting Steem dollars, selecting witnesses, updating personal and avatar information, and placing market orders. - Owner key
The owner key is only used when needed. This is the most powerful lock because it can change the lock of any account, including the owner's key. - Memo Key
This key is used to encrypt and decrypt memos when transferring funds. To encrypt a memo, please use the hash/# symbol before it.
The master password is used to generate all other keys, including the owner key. The only reason you should actually use a master password is when performing an account recovery, in which case you should retrieve the master password from secure storage.
Make sure you have read all the information about various locks in steem and all other security measures and additional tasks. Then write an article based on the following questions, please be creative as possible, because this will be a factor that rewards your article.
It is highly recommended that you keep an offline copy of your password in a safe place, just in case the hard drive fails or some other disaster. Consider digital offline storage, such as external disks or flash drives, and printed paper. Use vaults for optimal redundancy.
Hopefully this article can be useful for Steemians to keep your account safe from ignorant hands.
