Jack Dorsey opines that BTC can replace USD.
Former Twitter CEO, Jack Dorsey believes that the US dollar will be replaced by BTC in response to a tweet by Cardi B, a renowned female rap artist on December 20, 2021. Cardi B, had tweeted to get the opinion of people over the idea of the dollar being replaced by BTC, and as a result attracted over 3k retweets, 24k likes, and 4k comments.
Jack Dorsey, a renowned businessman, and founder of Square and Twitter shared his opinion with a comment if Cardi B's timeline, asserting that BTC can actually replace the dollar. He got quite a lot of support for his comment but not without a handful of criticism from others who differed on the issue.
Jack Dorsey had stated while he was yet the CEO of Twitter, that he believed Twitter would have the BTC on it's platform one day. He stated that opportunities actually existed for the coin to be used in the existing and potential products and services, and further noted that BTC reminds him of the early internet days.
The Ex-Twitter CEO had earlier this yesr, launched a BTC Fund worth $23.6 million, which he did in a partnership with rapper Jay Z. Also, he shared his plans to head his other company into blockchain remittances. In December, Jack Dorsey voluntarily stepped down as the CEO of Twitter, appointing Parag Agrawal to occupy the seat. He stated that he had on going plans to focus on Square, his payments company.
His Square plans centered around BTC and blockchain remittance systems. Jay Z had also earlier in the year, invested in Square, aspiring to be among the major stakeholders while looking to the futute of the company blockchain technology.
Twitter and Square however, are yet to share their long-term plans with their venture into BTC and Blockchain technology.
