IS FLIRTING A FUN ACTIVITY?

Flirting is a social and sexual behavior involving spoken or written communication, as well as body language, by one person to another, either to suggest interest in a deeper relationship with the other person, or if done playfully, for amusement

Flirting is defined by some as giving the impression of romantic interest in a person of the opposite gender by words or actions. Is it inappropriate to express romantic interest in someone? Certainly not. Flirting includes:

Blowing a kiss
Sexting
Eye contact
Footsie
Sexting
Winking
Teasing

WHY DO PEOPLE FLIRT?

Some people flirt only to improve their self-esteem. However, if you purposefully create the appearance that you are romantically interested in someone when you are not, you are demonstrating a blatant disrespect for the emotions of the other person. You also cast doubt on your own judgment. The bible has it that: “Folly is a joy to him who lacks sense, but a man of understanding walks straight ahead.”|Proverbs 15:21

WHAT ARE THE DANGERS INVOLVED?

Flirting destroys your reputation : Flirting makes a person appear vulnerable and immature. You have the impression that she is not being completely honest with you and is simply attempting to extract information from you. There is nothing like gaining reputation from just flirting around, think about it.

Flirting might jeopardize your chances of finding true love: Flirting can take its good toll on your love life in the sense that when you are prepared to engage in a serious relationship that might lead to marriage, due to your previous transgressions you might not gain the absolute trust of your fiance.

Flirting is harmful to the individual with whom you are flirting: If I meet someone who is flirtatious, I don't want to be in her company. It's as if the fact that I'm a man is the only reason she's talking to me. People who flirt are just interested in making themselves feel better, not in helping me feel better.
