Hello... ...

Hello steemis colleagues, after I have completed my achievements one and two, I now continue enthusiastically to the Content Etiquette , which is the third of six in the newcomer series. The importance of this task cannot be overstated as it anchors the justification for the reward in Steemit. It is a tool through which man demonstrates their originality in published content.

Plagiarism

Conceptual definition / explanation.
Reading many texts and authors, I discovered an almost general agreement on the definition of plagiarism, only semantic inequalities and sometimes contextual considerations.
To summarize the definitions, plagiarism involves presenting someone else's work or ideas as your own without their consent or proper reference to where the work or idea came from. People also commit plagiarism when they mistakenly cite the source of their borrowed idea, or even use their work already presented elsewhere.
Within academic and intellectual settings, plagiarism is seen as an act of dishonesty and academic restraint, a violation of journalistic ethics, and a serious crime in the publishing industry. It is also punishable by law for copyright, to the extent of payment of fines or imprisonment.

Types of plagiarism

1. Direct plagiarism
2. Mosaic plagiarism
3. Self plagiarism
4. Accidental plagiarism

Direct plagiarism

this type is also known as control c, ie. copy and paste. It means a literal presentation of another author's work without referring to them appropriately and adequately.

Mosaic plagiarism

This is done when someone's work contains phrases or content that preserve the original meaning of the author and the builder has not made the proper reference. This is the most right and often violated.

Self plagiarism

This type occurs when someone is reluctant to make new discoveries and sets out to elevate their older works and ideas, presenting them in a new job. This guy, even when shown, is still impulsive as it is an unreasonable repetition.

Accidental plagiarism

This occurs when a work or production carries incorrectly cited sources and / or inadequate site documentation.

The pictorial narrative above speaks eloquently of the consequences of plagiarism, which include, but are not limited to, the following

Reputation problem

erodes the academic and intellectual reputation of anyone who participates in it.

Monetary and material consequence

Plagiarism deprives authors and producers of their rewards for research and hard work.

Punishable by law

International copyright law can be used and enforced, this can lead the offender to pay large sums of money or go to jail.

Failure in the assessment

the presenter of a plagiarism work will definitely have a low rating and will be rated as a simulator.

Avoid plagiarism

If we write down our thoughts, it is possible to avoid theft. This can also be avoided if, when we read for inspiration, we write down the main points and then prepare them using our understanding of the topic.

When it's inevitable to use someone else's work, making appropriate quotes and quotes, thus identifying the real owner, will prevent us from being guilty of theft.

Other immoral behaviors
