Hello steemit community today I want to continue with my progress in my achievements and that is why today I bring you my achievement 3 where we will be talking about plagiarism:

What is Plagiarism:

What is considered plagiarism and what is not considered plagiarism? Sometimes it is very difficult to determine if something can be considered plagiarism, but that does not change the fact that committing plagiarism is a form of theft, and therefore constitutes a crime. for example, when a university discovers that a student has plagiarized, the student risks suspending the course, and could even be expelled from it.

types of plagiarism:

complete plagiarism:
partial plagiarism:
Self-plagiarism:

  • complete plagiarism: this occurs at the moment when an original content is copied verbatim from a source without changes, paraphrasing or alterations in the original document through punctuation marks or word changes.

  • partial plagiarism: this occurs once the content that is cited is the union of several texts from, in turn, different sources. In this case, the quoter may allow himself to alter certain punctuation marks or even words, but necessarily refers to the sources from which those texts come.

  • Self-plagiarism: Happens when a person uses fragments of their work and copies it into a new text.

how to avoid plagiarism:

  • we must always cite the sources from which we obtain information. cite the authors of the sources by clearly identifying the works or web pages from which we obtain the information example: History Of Computer

  • It is important for the writer to recognize that they should avoid using previously published texts and pass them off as new. If the author needs to work with a reference published by him, he must use the academic conventions quotation marks, paraphrasing, citation, among others.

now we understand how serious it can be to fall into plagiarism so we must always have originality and never resort to it, let's cite the sources from which we obtain information, which is not of our authorship, let's not recycle old works and pass them as new texts, since we would be plagiarizing ourselves, we must take this into account when carrying out our work.
