Assalamualaikum everyone
Hello fellow Steemians
I am happy to present to you my next achievement assignment in which I will write about content etiquette and plagiarism.
According to Oxford etiquette, etiquette is a code of conduct of polite conduct in society or among members of a particular profession or group. In my understanding, etiquette is basically having the right attitude of behavior in a particular society that is generally accepted. Etiquette draws a dividing line between norms and evil in society. This community can be a classroom, a workplace, a religious place, a political group or an organization.
Content Etiquette will now be an appropriate or typically excluded way to deliver articles, projects or research that do not violate any form of regulation. Therefore, it is better to talk about plagiarism which is fundamentally against Content Etiquette.
Plagiarism
Plagiarism consists of presenting other people's work or ideas as your own, with or without their consent, incorporating them into your work without full acknowledgment. All published and unpublished material, whether in handwritten, printed or electronic form, falls within this definition.
Types of Plagiarism
Direct Plagiarism
Mosaic Plagiarism
Accidental Plagiarism
Self Plagiarism
Misattribution
Direct Plagiarism
Direct plagiarism is a verbatim transcription of parts of someone else's work, without works without using quotes to indicate
that the text is copied verbatim attribution and without quotation marks and grounds for disciplinary action, including expulsion.
Mosaic Plagiarism
In this type of plagiarism, the author uses certain phrases or words from the content of another author in his search.
This is called mosaic plagiarism.
Accidental Plagiarism
Accidental plagiarism A plagiarism that
happens when someone does not know the post
published already published. this type
plagiarism happens mostly to students
when they investigated from the same source. .Lack of intent does not relieve students of responsibility for plagiarism.
Self Plagiarism
Where the author publishes a work in its entirety or reuses part of a previously written text when writing a new work.
HOW TO AVOID PLAGIARISM
PROVIDE A SOURCE
USE A PLAGIARISM CHECKER
USE QUOTATIONS
CREATE YOUR OWN IDEA
PROVIDE A SOURCE
As we write, we are advised to indicate the source of our content, if applicable, so that we are not guilty of plagiarism.
USE A PLAGIARISM CHECKER
There are ways for us to check whether our work has been written before or if the phrase already exists in our work. this can be done using an online plagiarism checker that helps find such cases, if any.
USE QUOTATIONS
When referring to someone's work, it is advisable to use citations in other works to tell the public that this phrase or word is someone else's so that it is not considered that we are plagiarizing.
CREATE YOUR OWN IDEA
Often we tend to introduce someone’s idea into our work just to avoid doing extra work. We must learn to create our own ideas and use them in our work so that we are valued and also avoid plagiarism.
CONCLUSION
How sad if we tend to see our work being plagiarized by others without permission in the same way we should not fall into such behavior since it is not only bad but at the same time it is punishable by law. I hope this content of mine is appreciated and certainly not plagiarized by anyone on Steemit (LOL).
