Thanks to all those who have played a vital role in the success of my previous posts. I'm heading straight to the next task in the newcomer's achievement task, task4 titled " Applying Markdown".
• Markdown
In simple language, Markdown is a writing style used in formatting various elements to plain text in a text document.
On this note, I will be using this medium to briefly explain some selected types of markdown on steemit for clarification and easy understanding.
• LINKS
You can apply markdown in adding links to your texts in different ways. For example, when adding a username, we use @ to become a clickable link. I.e. samfo
Also, adding a URL link in a text makes it clickable. I.e.>>https://steemit.com/@samfo.
• HEADLINE MARKDOWN
Headline markdown comes n different forms.
The first one is where the # symbol does the magic here when using Headline Markdown just by adding the # symbol before the headline. The headline size
reduces with the increase in the number of the # symbol used before the headline. For example

Also, you can use "-" and "=" symbols to markdown your headline by placing "---" underneath your headline 2 and "===" underneath headline one.

• RULER
When writing on steemit, you can upload a ruler or use 3 dashes, 3 stars or 3 equal signs at the beginning of the line to separate themes. I.e
--- or *** or ===
Thanks for your time.
