SECURITY:
Security is the most important thing to apply in any thing your doing to keep information or data safe,as you all know that nothing is safe and secure without the involvement of security and privacy.Like all other websites and platforms , Steemit also wants to secure and safekeep their platform to avoid internet fraud.So here are the basic things to do for better security and privacy on Steemit platform
In this achievement 2 Five questions were given to participant to know the level we have studied to, so these are my entries.
Question1: Have you retrieve all your keys on steemit?
Answer: Yes, I have retrieve all my Steemit keys and kept it safe in a PDF file and have also added password to keep it from the reach of anybody who touches my phone for any reason at all,I have also backup-ed my keys in my mobile notepad and have also done a print out of it in case my phone get faulty.
Question2:Do you know each of these key functions and restrictions?
Answer
Yes, I know all about the complete function and role of each key.First I was confused about the use of some of the keys but I dedication some time to study and also learnt from friends who knows better and now I am good in it.
Here are the uses of some keys:
Posting Key:
The posting key is used for loging in for the purpose of making blogs,contents,comments,up votes, following someone,for mute someone, for access to the notifications and all of the Social actions.
Active Key:
The purpose of the active key is all about the transfer,power up, power down, made transactions and other wallet activities. It is used for transferring SBD,STEEM,TRX, to the desired accounts and to buy more steem.
Owner Key:
The owner key is specialized for some of the Social, Wallet as well as the Recovery actions of our account. This key is mainly used to recover our account keys and to change all of the keys including the owner key itself.
Memo Key:
The function of memo key is to make memos which are used for the encrypted message and send and receive encrypted messages privately.
Master Password:
It is the most important and the most delicate key which is used to reset all of our other keys. It is the password which is assigned to us when we signed up our account and the most important thing about it is to keep it more safe and secure as it can be used to access our other keys. Don't share this item with anyone to ensure your security and privacy on the way throughout the Steemit Journey.
Question3:How do you plan to keep your master password?
Am not only planning to keep it safe but i have already kept all of my password in a secure place. i.e, in my notepad of mobile phone, in a safe file in my laptop and also in my e-mail to ensure my security requirements.
Question4:Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?
Yes, I know very well how to go about the transferring of it to another steem account but at first it was a bit strange but it now clear to me.
Question5:Do you know how to power up your STEEM?
Yes I know quite well about the powering up of my STEEM token.I have also powered up my own STEEM to ensure my experience.
So that's all my entries in my achievement2 task which I think I have just finished doing.
