Direct Plagiarism:- When a person copies someone work word-to-word without using either quotation mark or a proper citation we say that that person has performed what we call direct plaigarism. Now it is important to state here that in academics, such practice is consider as unethical.

Self-Plagiarism:- Self-Plagiarism is simply a process where someone submits his or her work in more than one place. Take for instance a contest was given in @steemalive community and the title is "My Best Holidays". And you have written and submitted the contest.

After a period of time another community decided to unveil their own contest with the same title and then since you know that you have written soothing of that nature before you just go back to your post and copy the same thing and post again in the community. That process is know as self-plaigarism.

Patch Writing or Mosaic Plagiarism:- This type of plaigarism occurs when the person involved borrows a phrase from some other person without using any form of quotation mark to indicate that the phrase use is not originally his. In other words it is a process where the person uses synonyms to the authors language and he or she still maintain same idea or structure of the main person without given credit to the original owner by means of citing him or her.

Accidental Plagiarism:- This type of plagiarism occurs when the victim involve fails to vite the sources or alternatively he decided to misquote the original work. In the case of accidental plagiarism, unintentional paraphrasing is also part of it. So when you group words and it matches some sources we say that you are a victim of accidental plaigarism.
