I am so happy for the little progress am making this few days on my achievement task. I have successfully completed achievement number one to achievement number five task 1. Today I want to work on achievement 5 task number 2 which talks about steemscan.com, this very site was developed by @futureshock and in today's task I will be exploring the site. Let's open the site together.

Latest Prices and Volumes

Once you open the site, you will notice two different graph on the homepage one of which talks about price and the other talks about the volume of steem. The graph above shows that the current price of steem as at when performing this task is US$0.57 and the volume of steem as at the time is US$20,000.00.

The menu bar is also located at the top left hand side of the page. Now once you click on the menu icon, the dropdown will show the following menu. Home, Witness, DApps, Dev tools, Quick convert, search and lastly the steem engine. See image carrying the menus below.

Latest Transactions

This section shows all the latest transaction that is been carried out in the steem blockchain. The latest transaction carries information in the following heading Block ID, ID, Timestamp, Sender, Receiver/permitlink/ID, type, and amount. See image of latest transaction below.

Latest Blocks

Similarly, just beside the latest transaction, you will notice the latest block. The latest block is the block that is built within that period of time. Information contained in the latest blocks are found in the following headings ID, Height, and block transaction. See image of the latest block below.

Witnesses

The witness section shows all the active witness which are available within that period on the steem blockchain. It's important to mention here that this witness are listed with their respective information or details such as Rank, Witness, Approval (MV), status, version, missed, price feed, Reg fee and vote. See image of the witness as at the time of performing this very task below.

To vote for a witness follow the steps below

• From the image of witness above, click on vote

• You will be required to login with your private posting key

• Click on continue, then you will be required to input your active key.

• Once that is done, you can then approve the transaction.

• Once you click approve then you have successfully voted the witness

DApps

The DApps section contains several other DApps that are also coming soon into existence which are been developed using the steemit blockchain. The information carried by each of this upcoming DApps are Name, About, users, transactions and publisher. The image below shows all the DApps currently present in the steemscsn.com

Quick convert

This section of the menu offers to convert hour steem to any of these 3 coins I.e USDT or BTC or TRX. To carry out this activity, all you need to do is to enter the amount of steem you wish to convert then select the currency you wish to convert it to. When that has been done, you will be required to enter the address of the coins you are converting to, finally, you click on create order. You will be required to input your private key to activate the transaction. See the image below.

Search

Here in the search menu, you can actually search for a transaction by inputting the transaction ID. And then clicking on the search button. See image of search menu below.

Dev tool

Here in the Dev tool menu, we see different tools that has been developed to work in the steemit blockchsin. See image of search menu below.

Search engine

Here in this menu, it helps users to create token and also smart contract in the steem blockchain. See the image if search engine below.

Conclusion

Having exploit this noble site properly, I have learnt a whole lot of things on the website. I can now vote a witness, I can also convert my steem to other coins like BTC, USDT or TRX. This is really quite educative. Thanks to @cryptokannon for such a wonderful guide.
