Today i am really excited for the opportunity given to me to share with you what plagiarism means, types of plagiarism, how to prevent plagiarism and factors of plagiarism.

Definition of plagiarism

Plagiarism is an act of using another authors vocabulary, viewpoint or notions without making sources to the original post. It can be interpreted as an act of taking credit for another writers work

Types of plagiarism

  • Accidental Plagiarism.
  • Direct Plagiarism
  • Complete Plagiarism
  • Source-based Plagiarism

How to prevent plagiarism

The following methods should be considered in other to prevent plagiarism:

  1. make sure to cite your source
  2. make reference
  3. you can use plagiarism checker before delivering your work
  4. use your own notions,ideas and vocabulary
  • Plagiarism is reproducing someone else’s work or viewpoints as your own without their permission and forming it as your own work without the authors acknowledgement.
    Plagiarism may be deliberate, or coerced

    Citation Definition

Citation mean a statement cited to its main source, A reference, The act of quoting, or virtuous mention.

  • Method of citation

The method of citation applies to the way in which we source our work to its root
While quoting or citating another authors work we are required to use the listed quote sign
