INRODUCTION

Hello Everybody,

Assivement 2 is the second task assigned to me and it is about basic security in steem and its key types. I would like to thank you this community modarators and members.

TASK DETAILS

As I mentioned above my tasks are primarily about learning about steem security and answering some of the questions provided here. Here are the questions :

🥦Have you retrieved all your keys on steemit?

🥦Do you know each of these key functions and restrictions?

🥦How do you plan to keep your master password?

🥦Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?

🥦Do you know how to power up your STEEM?

Now I am going to answer these questions one by one to prove that I understand their answers.

1. Have you retrieved all your keys on steemit?

I can assure you that I have stored it very safely. Also, let me make it clear that I understood that keeping an offline copy is important in case of any storage failure.

2. Do you know each of these key functions and restrictions?

I understood the key functions and their restrictions, let me explain.

⭕The posting key:

Posting key should be used while logging into steemit as this one helps the user perform social activities like posting content. I can understand that using this key often helps reduce the risk of losing one's wallet content as this key can't be used to initiate a token transfer or any activity.

⭕The Memo key:

Memo key helps the blockchain encrypt and decrypt the memo when we transfer funds. Memo key helps identify the wallet to transfer funds.

⭕The Owner key:

As name this is basically an owner of all the other keys and it can be used to change all the other keys. This one must be very careful when using this key and should only use it if necessary and be aware of the forum that you enter this key to cause people to potentially use phishing to steal that key.

⭕The Active key:

The actuve key is yet another important key that must be used to make a fund transfer or simply perform any activity that deals with powering up, moving wallet content, and actions like those. Active key also helps us vote for witnesses too.

3. How do you plan to keep your master password?

I already have decided to keep a printed copy stored in a secret location and another copy in the cloud. This is the most important key and I know that getting your account recovered can only be done if we have this key.

4. Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?

Yes, I know about it. I will explain it with some .

5. Do you know how to power up your STEEM?

Yes,I am going to show the possess.
