ABOUT @Sledgeheart

My name is Thompson Inemeawaji Wilcox, I was born in 1st October, 1996 and hail from Andoni Local Government Area in Rivers State; Nigeria. I was born into an avid Christian monogamous family of six, which I happen to be the fifth child of the family. My Dad is an Assistant Superintendent of Nigerian Police and has been in active service for thirty years. My Mum is a public servant with the Nigerian Teacher’s Institute. I reside in the beautiful city of Port Harcourt.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

My educational background was a composition of rigour and relish. I started my foundation in education in Faith Nursery and Primary School obtaining my First School Leaving Certificate. I attended Oginigba Secondary School which was brief and slow, then I proceeded to the prestigious Destiny College, obtaining my Secondary School Certificate (SSCE). After consistent and persistent search for higher degrees from distinguished universities and Colleges in Nigeria and beyond , I gained admission into the Rivers State University, where after five years of academic voyage, I will be obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication and Journalism come 11th September, 2021. In the course of my study, I have served as different Adviser to different Student’s Governing Bodies and Association, as well as Chief Press Secretary and also the Electoral Chairman of Mass Communication Student’s Association in 2021.
I am currently a research assistant to one of the prestigious scholar in the Department of Political Science and a Political Philosopher and Legislative educationist in Rivers State University; Dr. Anthony Egobueze.

HOBBIES

I am an avid fan and follower of football especially my favourite club; Manchester United. Aside been a fan of football and Manchester United, I am an ace in the pitch. I spend eighty percent of my time reading and writing. Reading is a culture to me and also a means to quell my ever burning inquisition to social phenomenon. I love reading myths and legends, philosophical and psychological books. I am so a fan of literary works especially poems and drama which motivated me into writing a drama titled ‘Pedals of Fate’. I love music no matter the genre as long as it appeals to me, i follow awesome Western musicians like Drake, Rihanna, Selena Gomez, Ruth B, Niall Horan, Ali Gatie, John Legend but to mention but a few. I also have so much love for my Nigerian musicians and their evolutionary Afro-pop genre which the world is still amazed about, i would not mention names of these musicians because they are all amazing. I love sightseeing because it gives me the opportunity to experience space and nature in between beautiful atmosphere and aesthetics. Finally, I love good food and also meeting new people because I am a social responsive sapiophile.

HOW I GOT TO KNOW ABOUT STEEMIT

This platform has been waiting for me or rather it has been created for people like me that live in realism and quite expressive. This platform has the ingredients to take me to the next level as well as alot of Nigerians who have a voice unique to the world. It would not have been possible for me to be informed about Steemit , thanks to @advokate who is a brother who is studying in Rivers State University with me, he told me about Steemit and the impact which the platform have created in his life. He thought me about how it works and working with him is so amazing because he is so welcoming and patient.

AIM

Communication as my field of study has been making global impact and would continue to make global impact in all ramifications. Communication is a prime source of development. Therefore, man cannot not communicate; which means this platform is a means to man inalienable source of development which has triggered my interest in joining this platform is to improve my writing and communication skill. Get to know people's contribution, ideas around the community and the world at large and also to get connected with good and creative people in Steemit and together we will make this platform great and the world more interconnected.

MY CONTRIBUTION

Communication has always been the nerve centre of my life. It is also a craft by the virtue of my profession. I have a skill in public relation and media practises which through my voyage in academics and experience in Africa, has exposed me to certain phenomenon and situations that the world needs to be a part of. Africa is a continent and also a consortium of huge life and intrigues which the people is yet to salvage, utilize and the world is yet to embrace. Therefore, with my high educational qualification, I would impact to the world, not blinded by the ever flourishing nature of other climes. Hence, I want to welcome you to @Sledgeheart. I share my ideas and knowledge on different aspects of things in this amazing platform. I I need is you to follow my blog graciously.
