Hello everyone, it's another wonderful day for me and I bring you a warmly greetings to you all. I'm here today to complete my achievement 3. This part is all about the term "plagiarism".

Plagiarism is the act of copying, stating, using of one's own work without the acknowledge of the owner, either intentionally or unintentionally and claiming them as your own benefit.*

Types of plagiarists

  1. The accidental plagiarists: This describes a person or someone who do not have any idea or don't know what plagiarism means and accidentally quote someone's else work. This normally happens when a person mistakenly used someone else work without any knowledge about plagiarism.
  1. The opportunistic plagiarists: This is a person who have a clear idea or clue on how plagiarism works but decided not to go abide it due to laziness or ignorance.

  2. The committed plagiarists: This a person or someone who has decided to cheat or steal someone's else work as his or her own without considering any form of given creadit to the author.

Forms of plagiarism

  1. Verbatim plagiarism: This is a case whereby someone copies word to word from someone else work and use it in his or her language as his own without giving any credit to the owner. This also describes a person quoting someone else language or word directly as his or her own without any acknowledge to the author.

  2. Mosaic plagiarism: This is the act of making a selective copy from different sources and making some few changes and using them as your own work.

  3. Uncited paragraph: This is the act of using your own language to describes someone's else work knowing clearly that the work does not belong to you but modernizing the work to become yours.

How to stop plagiarism

  1. You have to use plagiarism checker before submitting your work in other to see if there is a copy work.

  2. The use of quotation marks and proper attribution and citation in other to show that the work or the text is not originally yours.

  3. Avoid cut and paste and use your own idea or your own words. By so doing the work has originally become yours and that makes you the author of the work since it's has never been done by anybody else.

  4. You have to give credit to your source: Credit should be given to the author in your text citation and reference list.

I can boldly confirm that, I have read and understood the content etiquette on steemit community and I will go abide it perfectly.
Greetings to everyone especially
