Schooling at home can be so fun!
Today we are stretching our minds and fingers with food science, art, math in measurements, and practicing imaginative play and our A,B,C’s!
First you need 1/2 cup butter and 1/2 cup flour.
This is food grade materials so perfectly safe for the kids to make and play with.
Mix together until you get the consistency you like. We added more flour for this consistency which was 1 cup flour to 1/2 cup butter or 2:1 ratio.
They measured the ingredients we used so we could discuss measurements a bit.
Then we practiced making the dough Green by combining yellow and blue primary colors. This was perfect for my littler child. He could review his colors.
Then we made the first few letters in the alphabet rolling the dough in our hands to make the parts for each! They really enjoyed that!
Then free play with the dough to do as they wanted!
Snowmen!
Smiley faces!
Snakes!
Volcanos!
C astles!
Even an alien! 😅
So much fun!!
To store this, just place in an airtight container of some kind. We are using ziplock baggies.
Whatever their minds can imagine!! Try it!! Plus the dough is oddly satisfying to play with. Great stress reliever too at least to me. 😅🤣😍🙏🏾🙌🏾
Cheers!
