Good day Steemian. After getting verified from Achievement 2, now I should finish Achievement 3 about Plagiarism. Here is my post about Plagiarism.

What is Plagiarism

Plagiarism is the act of taking other work, without quoting the source, so that makes plagiarism content as own work. plagiarism is identical with steal someone's stuff. This is a criminal act. In many countries, there is law rule about plagiarism. You could be sued by crime or private law if break the rule. So we should be careful.

Type of Plagiarism

There is a kind type of plagiarism, as follows:

1. Complete Plagiarism: Claim other work as his or her work completely. This action identically with stealing intellectual property.
2. Paraphrasing Plagiarism: Steal other articles and change the words by his or her version. So it gives an impression that the article is his or her own.
3. Source Plagiarism: The author use other idea or article, without giving a certain source. This is can happen if the author uses multiple sources as reference material for his or her work.
4. Self Plagiarism: Steal our work. Self plagiarism is found when the author already made and publish an article, and still publishes that article in another editor or platform. The author does not produce something new but just repeated that published action for the same work.
5. Verbatim Plagiarism: Steal word by word article without making quotation marks. If Complete Plagiarism steals all content from another author, Verbatim Plagiarism steals some part of other work content.

How to Avoid Plagiarism

Plagiarism can be avoided, by several methods.

1. Copy paste from another article should be avoided.
2. Use your writing style for each article.
3. Use any source of reading, this adds quality and creativity to the article.
4. Citing source if certain material or words if use from another article.
