Along the bay in Hoquiam, Wash.
They're installing a new park in Hoquiam, out at the end of Adams Street, and I had to go check it out a couple weeks ago.
It's basically just a blacktopped pull-off for vehicles at the moment, but it looks like they're going to add some landscaping and hopefully a few benches.
A viewing tower would be great too. The area already provides a expansive view of the bay and just a little elevation would make it spectacular.
I watched a couple families of geese making their way across the mudflat that evening. The little ones scurried right along, while their folks sank past the ankles (do geese have ankles?) in a few spots.
I haven't made it out for a photowalk in a couple weeks now. Seven or eight weeks ago I started working at our local grocery store overnights, and with the change in sleep routine, I've still not found a good time to get out. Which doesn't make a lot of sense, since I'm awake early in the morning and late in the evening, both great times for photos.
So far I just don't feel very creative at those times, even though I'm awake. In the mornings I'm tired, and in the evenings it still feels like the end of the day, not time to get started with something.
