Cuando leí el tema de concurso: Los perfumes, me causó positiva emoción porque los perfumes son una de las creaciones que más me gustan en la vida y siempre los he incorporado en mi lista de preferencias.

When I read the contest theme: Perfumes, I was positively excited because perfumes are one of my favorite creations in life and I have always included them in my list of preferences.

De niña usaba, gracias a las atenciones de mi mamá, perfumes de bebé, uno muy popular se llamaba “Chicco”, también “Menem”, ya más grandecita me colocaba una versión de “Fresita” de Avon. La sensación refrescante y aromática que dan los perfumes me llenan de ánimo y energía.

As a child I used, thanks to my mother's attentions, baby perfumes, a very popular one was called "Chicco", also "Menem", and when I was older I used a version of "Fresita" by Avon. The refreshing and aromatic sensation that the perfumes give me fills me with energy and spirit.

Ya en mi juventud, usaba unos de mujer, que se llamaban “Ciel” y “Coco”, eran muy dulces y para esa época me fascinaban. Luego descubrí que eran los más económicos, con los que se empezaba a usar perfumes de dama, también me los regalaba mi mamá, que es otra fans de los perfumes. A medida que fui desarrollando mis gustos y mejorando mi situación económica me incliné por los perfumes “Guess” y “273”. Ya recién casada, mi esposo me regalaba perfumes de alta gama por decirlo así: Trésor y la Vida es bella de Lancome, Givenchy, 212 de Carolina Herrera, entre otros. Pero sí tengo que escoger un perfume favorito sin dudas es el Omnia de Bvlgary, uno de la línea de perfumes de esa prestigiosa marca que también me obsequió mi esposo. Como les dije mi debilidad son los perfumes.

In my youth, I used to wear women's perfumes called "Ciel" and "Coco", they were very sweet and at that time I was fascinated by them. Then I discovered that they were the most economical, with which I began to use women's perfumes, also my mother gave them to me, who is another fan of perfumes. As my tastes developed and my economic situation improved, I became more inclined towards "Guess" and "273" perfumes. As a newlywed, my husband would give me high-end perfumes so to speak: Trésor and Life is Beautiful by Lancome, Givenchy, 212 by Carolina Herrera, among others. But if I have to choose a favorite perfume it is undoubtedly Omnia by Bvlgary, one of the perfume line of this prestigious brand that my husband also gave me as a gift. As I told you my weakness are perfumes.

Recuerdo una compañera de trabajo que me dijo bromeando, porque todos me reconocían por mis perfumes: ”Espera a que tengas hijos, Te pondré la mano en el hombro”. Este refrán quiere decir algo como: Estaré aquí para consolarte, me dio mucha risa y no le creía. Ella se refería a que uno soltero o sin hijos, podía darse ese lujo de comprar por ejemplo como en mi caso, perfumes de calidad y en cantidad, pero que cuando llegan las responsabilidades, se pasa a otro nivel. Sus palabras fueron proféticas, hoy día, los perfumes que les muestro en mis imágenes son obra y gracia de regalos que mi comadre me hace, porque sabe que aunque me fascinen, mis prioridades son la alimentación y educación de mis hijos. Ella, que es tan generosa, ha llenado mis días de fragancias exquisitas, de la Línea de Victoria Secrets, y otros perfumes que no son los que estaba acostumbrada a usar, y que gracias a estos obsequios, descubrí que son una delicia.

I remember a co-worker who jokingly told me, because everyone recognized me by my perfumes: "Wait until you have children, I'll put my hand on your shoulder". This saying means something like: I'll be here to comfort you, it gave me a lot of laughter and I didn't believe her. She was referring to the fact that a single or childless person could afford to buy, for example, as in my case, quality perfumes and in quantity, but when the responsibilities come, it goes to another level. Her words were prophetic, today, the perfumes that I show you in my pictures are the work and grace of gifts that my comadre gives me, because she knows that although they fascinate me, my priorities are the feeding and education of my children. She, who is so generous, has filled my days with exquisite fragrances, from the Victoria Secrets line, and other perfumes that are not the ones I was used to using, and thanks to these gifts, I discovered that they are a delight.

En mi experiencia y cambios de prioridades, además de bajas a nivel económico, aprendí que un buen perfume no necesariamente, tiene que ser de una marca reconocida, y que hay muchos para deleitarse y a precios más accesibles. Mi hija aprendió a hacer perfumes en un proyecto de colegio. No siguió esa línea, se interesó por otras cosas, pero nos enteramos de que esa también es una gran opción para estar perfumados.

In my experience and changes in priorities, in addition to economic downturns, I learned that a good perfume does not necessarily have to be of a recognized brand, and that there are many to enjoy and at more affordable prices. My daughter learned to make perfumes in a school project. She didn't follow that line, she was interested in other things, but we learned that this is also a great option to be perfumed.
