FOCUSING ON THE VISION:
the lion tamer at the circus takes three pieces of equipment into the ring with a whip, a small hand-gun, and a three- legged stool. A stool! Why the stool? The reason is that as the tamer holds the three legs toward the lion, the beast is transfixed and becomes calm. The difficulty of focusing on three legs at once suspends the sing-mindedness of the lion. He is confused and undecided.
Indecision and paralysis of action come from a distraction of focus. Attempting too many major goals simultaneously will generally lead to failure. Distraction keeps us from optimum performance.
