Yesterday was World Earth Day. It is celebrated on 22nd April every year. The main purpose of this is to protect the earth from environmental problems. This kind of World Earth Day was declared for the first time in 1970. It is our duty to protect the planet we live on. Whether it has a special Earth Day like this or not, we should do it.

Today, the earth is being destroyed due to many human activities. Especially the ozone layer and the atmosphere. Due to our own harmful activities, we will one day lose the atmosphere of this planet. Earth has become a habitable planet because the ozone layer absorbs harmful ultraviolet radiation from the sun. Ultraviolet radiation is very harmful to humans and human lives can be damaged by exposure to this radiation.

But today the ozone layer is gradually depleting due to the harmful substances like chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), nitrogen oxides, methyl bromide (MeBr), carbon tetrachloride (CTC) released into the atmosphere by our actions. We will have to bear the consequences of this decay. Therefore, we should contribute to protect the earth as much as they can.

Natural disasters are more common today than in the past. We are really responsible for this, right? As a result of our contribution to the pollution of the earth, natural disasters have increased a lot nowadays. If we love the environment, the environment will treat us in the same way. But we cannot expect the earth to protect us without us protecting the earth.

As I mentioned above, we have to face many environmental problems today due to many human activities. Some countries and regions are unable to find even some clean water suitable for drinking. People are destroying forests, releasing domestic sewage and other waste into rivers and destroying drinking water. So these are the consequences we get, right?

We always contribute personally to protect the earth as much as possible.
