Welcome back, readers! Today I am going to share with you an image of the food that I ate in Swensens. I apologized if this is the only photo I had as I was uncomfortable taking photos in public. My line manager had treated me and my friends to Swensens as one of the company policies and to destress from working hours.
I was ecstatic to go to dinner in this place as it was extremely rare for me to go to fast-food outlets. In these outlets, prices of these foods were in double digits and I am for one like to save and invest my money instead of giving myself up to luxury. I always bring cooked food [cooked by my lovely mother] to work. In the image above, it was a Baked Chicken Rice and lemon tea. When I tasted a tiny bit of the food, it was out of this world. I must be careful not to eat so fast as if I never ate in days. I want to savour every moment chewing my food and chatting happily with my friends. The lemon tea, well, it complements greatly with the dish.
I was so full by the time I finished the dish and the second round is coming. My friends don't want to eat anymore but my manager ordered a split banana ice-cream. Wow! A banana in the ice-cream. I had only eaten them separately before. For me, it is truly heaven. I was slurping and licking the ice-cream right to the end. I thanked my manager for treating us and went home by Grab as my father had been calling me to go home fast.
Delayed gratification is my favourite phrase because I wanted to be wealthy instead of going to places like this. I really hope what I invested in STEEM will come to fruition and I am willing to wait. TRON is the next.
