Today the watercolor that I share is only as an introduction to a photo shoot of a place that is located right in the area of my painting.
A very large plain of about 1,180 km² which also includes 5 coastal lakes and a National park.

Oggi l'acquarello che condivido è solo da introduzione ad un servizio fotografico di un posto che si trova proprio nella zona del mio dipinto.
Una pianura molto estesa di circa 1.180 km² che comprende anche 5 laghi costieri e un parco Nazionale.
Since yesterday, travel is prohibited in Italy, we are in an emergency, since yesterday evening Italy is in the red zone.
Fortunately, last week I managed to visit this beautiful place: the Piana delle Orme Park-Museum in Latina - Lazio Italy.
Da ieri in Italia sono proibiti gli spostamenti, siamo in emergenza, da ieri sera l'Italia è in zona rossa.
Fortunatamente la settimana scorsa sono riuscito a visitare questo bellissimo posto: il Parco-Museo Piana delle Orme a Latina, in Italia.
The museum contains around 50,000 exhibits distributed in 16 pavilions each with a theme dedicated to the history of the area.
The pavilions collect war and historical elements of the Landing of Anzio during the Second World War.
Other pavilions are dedicated to ancient toys and the reclamation of the Agro Pontino swamp with lots of information on daily life and scenes faithfully reconstructed from the historical period from 1928 to 1944.
Il museo contiene circa 50000 reperti distribuiti in 16 padiglioni ognuno con un tema dedicato alla storia del territorio.
I padiglioni raccolgono elementi bellici e storici dello Sbarco di Anzio durante la Seconda guerra mondiale.
Altri padiglioni sono dedicati ai giocattoli antichi e alla bonifica della palude "Agro Pontino" con moltissime informazioni della vita quotidiana e delle scene ricostruite fedelmente al periodo storico che va dal 1928 al 1944.

Thank you for sharing so many photos. This was very interesting; it's one of those places one would ordinarily overlook when traveling. Going down the autostrada, I, too, looked left towards Monte Cassino and overlooked Terracina on the right. Now you're on my map!

Was just down last year, all the way to Sicily by car, 4,000 km roundtrip. The missus will kick my behind if I go anywhere farther than Milano anytime soon. This year it's Slovenia, and just maybe a detour to Hungary and/or Croatia. :-)
