HF seems inevitable. //

In my mind, the only way to equal out ALL the inequalities (high initial inflation .etc.) is to:
Apply Current Hardfork At Block 0
Restart from Block 0
1 Vote Per Steem (or Better Alternative)

At least that should solve some of the mess...

What do you mean by restart from block 0? Clean slate restart that clears all stake?

Damn right. 0 Everything. Back to PoW (With Fair Announcement and instructions)

you do know the price of miners and price of running it? no expert but i think one of the reasons to "invent" DPOS was the price of running it.

No, what I mean is going back to block 0, where it was PoW. After 1 month worth of blocks, STEEM became DPoS, but you've gotta get the steem to people first.

Hehe. I think thats a bit excessive. Not sure how many people would be onboard if you restarted the chain from genesis block.

What if we take a snapshot of the chain then have a way for current (or past) steemians to link or verify their account on the new chain and airdrop tokens or simply having the ability to repost (or be rewarded for) quality content that was created previously? The only issue I would have is allowing any stake derived from "known" scammers, vote farmers, plagiarists, ninjamine, bid bot abusers/users/owners, etc. which would be impossible without some kind or long drawn out and transparent review committee or something else ridiculous to make exceptions for the many types and kinds of "actors" especially since times in the past where certain actions (now frowned upon) were considered "the norm". But after starting the new chain with the best from steem (without losing prior "status") we could theoretically be off in the right direction.
