Sometimes HOPE Can Come From Unexpected Places

It has been a busy day today. Even though it is Tuesday, it has felt like Monday, all day long.

Like half the world, we're effectively in voluntary quarantine, now. Getting anything done — that requires leaving the house — becomes harder and harder.

Meanwhile, he monthly bills aren't stopping... but incomes are declining.

One of my recent mantras has been "I refuse to give into the surrounding energy of fear!"

I am grateful that I can still go out in my yard, and get a little perspective from the natural world.

This afternoon — on an otherwise gray and dreary day — I felt a small injection of hope, simply from looking towards the horizon, and seeing a group of fluffy clouds, brightly lit by the sun... even though we were under a layer of leaden clouds.

The tall structure in the middle is one of those cellphone towers made to look like a tall tree...

Somehow, I reminded myself that even on the darkest of days, there can be signs of light on the horizon.

Natural can sometimes be remarkably healing.

For a moment, I forgot about the world's (and my own) troubles, and just took in what I was looking at.

Panning a little further to the right...

After ten minutes or so, I went back inside... and had a much better attitude.

The thing is, we can't control" what is happening "Out There." But we can control how we're feeling about it, in here.
