Hello dear Steemians today i will share my point of view on #Kpop and the industry as a whole.
So first i will begin with how i got into Kpop and my journey so far.
In the beginning of 2016 i was thinking like most people think when they hear the word Kpop, how good can it be right? And i really don't like many mainstream things so i try to stay away from it,but a friend on Discord kept spamming me Youtube links for kpop groups that they wanted me to check out.
So after weeks of never clicking any links they sent i decided well if they like it so much i will at least try to give it a shot,so instead of going through a link they sent i thought i'd search after something myself and after a while i found one and clicked on it.
It was a girl group called Apink and the song was actually really calming to me and i really liked the music video so i decided to keep on listening to a few other songs they had and to my surprise i really liked all of them a lot.
After checking out that group i went out on a quest of finding more kpop songs that i would enjoy and so my journey began.
For some reason i stuck to girl groups (probably because i found them cute...yeah yeah i'm thirsty lol) anyway my point is as i first thought about kpop overall for a long time i now didn't give any boy band a chance, which would come to change over time.
Anyway fast forward to now and i know pretty much all kpop groups, solo artists, and have followed the industry closely for 3+ years now.
I am proud to be a kpop fan which is difficult for some people to say on the internet, specially on Reddit because of the constant hate.
The Kpop industry is not the best i admit. Kpop idols get treated unfairly by their labels, they have to work themselves almost to death for many years for even to be considered to be signed and put in a group.
And yes this could go for a big part of the music industry and not only in Kpop.
One thing i don't like hearing from people is all the negativity and hate towards kpop groups/artists,they get sent death threats all the time, people stalk them, make up rumors about them and the list goes on.
It's really sad to see that people do this and i also mean towards anyone that is famous or not...EVERYONE AND I MEAN EVERYONE on this planet is equal just because someone is famous does not mean that they don't have feelings, they are humans after all and your actions whether they are good or bad can have a serious impact on someone's life! As a kpop fan i have lost two really beautiful persons i looked up to... Rest In Peace Goo Hara and Sulli,i will never forget you <3
If you are going to take something away from this post let it be this...
Don't be like i first was in the beginning with Kpop!,for you it might be with something else but try something for a while whether it be a genre of music or something else...then you can have an actual opinion on it.
You are as equal as anyone on this planet and you do matter even if you don't think so.
3.Your actions good or bad has an impact...even a nod to someone that walks by can make that persons day so try to do the best you can!.
Lastly to honor my two idols that sadly have left this planet way too early i will share with you two of my favorite songs by their previous groups.
