Hello friends! good morning and happy blissful friday to you all. Trust you're good?
I'm stucked here at home cos of lock down.
I just finished doing house chores and mom asked me to prepare cassava garri (fufu), lol 😁 please pardon me! I don't really know the English name for it.
Actually, it's one of the simplest food to prepare within an hour. We already had grounded cassava at home so I went and picked few equipment and things like pot, turning stick, the grounded cassava it self, firewood and a basin containing water and small spoon.
-Procedures:
-rinse your pot and turning stick very well to avoid sand.
-turn the grounded cassava into the pot.
-put small water and mix the grounded cassava with your hands till it desolves.
-set up your fire, then place the pot on the fire.
-make sure everything you will need like basin filled with small water and spoon is available, incase the fufu gets strong and difficult to turn.
-start turning it with the turning stick until it gets stronger.
-at some point it will be difficult to turn, so what you do is to spread small water on the turning stick and inside the pot.
-try turning the fufu inside the pot upside down like you're frying egg.
-after a while turn it upside down again till its strong and done.
-when it strong and done, bring it down, and your sumptuous cassava garri (fufu) is ready.
My cassava garri (fufu) is ready right now, you can use it to eat any soup of your choice, but I do enjoy it with melon soup and okro soup 😋😋, it's delicious and soft to pass on your throat lol 😋😄, Dm me for your own share.
