As we all know emotions are part of our daily life, we know they exist, that they are there, now the difficult thing is to understand them and be aware of them, that is what emotional intelligence is about, we must not let emotions dominate or affect us.
Certainly there are moments where we feel sadness or anger, but we have to be aware that these are emotions that depending on the circumstances will appear, and then pass, that's the idea, not get stuck.
1. First of all, you have to understand your emotions
We must analyze our actions, take a few minutes of the day to know what is happening to us, how we feel and why we feel this way, I know that many times we act impulsively, for example, at home, maybe we come stressed from work and answer a question in a bad way and later we realize that there was no reason to act this way.
Then the best thing we can do is to analyze ourselves every day and see what we did, what we are proud of and what we didn't do, and then not make the same mistakes.
2. Physical exercise
Besides helping us to be in shape, exercise is beneficial for our emotional health, it does not help to release tensions, stress, distract the mind, while we exercise we release certain substances in our brain that give us energy, encouragement, make us be happy, therefore our mood will improve.
3. Knowing how to channel criticism
Many times we are very attentive to what others say about us, we take very seriously the criticisms that are made of us, particularly I have noticed that many people cannot see happiness in others, so they are determined to give negative comments.
Now, the important thing is how we react to that, being sure of ourselves and knowing who we are and what we can do is the beginning of good emotional health.
4. Accepting us as we are
Many times we act defensively because we believe that others are wrong, certainly we should not listen to bad criticism, but if we must accept when someone wants to give us a constructive criticism for example, we all make mistakes and we can be wrong, neither the idea is to believe us gods.
5. Being a positive person
We must be optimistic before life, thinking in negative will not bring us anything good, on the contrary, it can affect us psychologically, for example creating many anxieties, for that reason we must seek the positive side to things and situations so are not the best.
6.Thinking before you speak
Many times we say things and then we regret it, because? because we let ourselves be carried away by emotions, whenever we find ourselves in those moments the best thing is to take a deep breath and analyze the situation well or simply walk away and leave the conversation for another moment.
