Chana Dal Khichdi made up of only two ingredients rice n chana dal(lentils)and some common indian spices, it is prepared in 5 min only not more than that. You don't have any vegetables at your home or feeling lazy to cook anything but want to eat some healthy and heavy then you can try out this recipe as Khichdi is the perfect balance of carbohydrates, and protein,
thanks to rice and lentils for giving us easy recipe Khichdi has many benefits like healthy dish, easy to digest, detoxify your body, gluten free and the last but not the least it's a wholesome meal. In india there is varieties of khichdi with different way of cooking n with different spices n lentils. Khichdi is called by many different names in different states thats why india🇮🇳 is called as unity in diversity
Step 1
Rinse ½ cup chana dal and 2 cup of basmati rice(pound rice too)Then soak for 3 to 4 hours in normal water or in hot water for 15 minutes. Here I soaked the dal n rice than drain all the water.
Step 2
Take pressure cooker, heat some oil, add mustard seeds, neem leave and pinch of Asfoeidia(hing) to it
Note- for some twist to it, i have add some pickle masala to it.. to make it more delicious n spicy..😋😋
Step 3
Add one cup of water n salt to taste, stir for mixup, pressure cooker for 2 whistle or for 5 minutes.
Step 4
Once the pressure settles down,remove the lid. Mix gently so that your rice should not broken
It is perfectly cooked, pair it with aloo papad, curd or green chutney.
