Divine Invasion. Digital collage/Gif animation.

I am still struggling to find a new concept to work on so again i decided to rework an older digital collage that i created two years ago. Actually it was for a Steem contest that got cancelled or the organizer disappeared, I do not remember the details. The theme was to create a divine weapon and i thought that a divine tank would be a cool and funny idea. I found a tank photo and then i searched for various religious relics, all of them golden in order to create an antithesis with the plain grey tank. I wanted a meta modern Baroque style, blame the years that i played Warhammer 40k for that,lol.

In the updated version i used for background a cloudy sunrise, very rich in colours with a palette that really compliments the main theme. I played a bit more with the movie filter that i made a few days ago for another artwork and experiment a bit with the different ways that can be overlaid to the illustration. This time i choose the burned colour option and worked a bit with the contrast and the opacity. I think the result is far better than the first test, colours are looking more rich and effect looks more like an old film.

Another reason that i came up with the idea of reworking this artwork is that in Greece at the moment we are living a really surreal situation and i wanted to do a parody. We are of course in a lock down like most of the countries but the Orthodox church is fighting hard to keep the churches open.Some priests also came up with the idea that people can lie and say that they are going to exercise but instead go to the church,lol. So as it seems the church believes that God will save us from the Corona virus and i really hope that all this will end with a squad of divine tanks coming from heavens and shooting holy water to the satanic virus,lol.
