We left in the center of Camping in Elmrij, not far from Beni Mtir, a place of dreams, colors and tranquility. It’s a landmark on the hiker's map, a vivid picture where you can walk, relax and rejuvenate.
After 2 and a half hours on the bus, we were dropped off by the driver in front of the entrance to the center. It takes 20 minutes to reach the place.
When I got to the campsite, the first impression I had was "Waaaw" a real paradise buried in nature.
Before setting off to explore the area, we started by setting up our tents.
Our campsite was in the forest so you have to be well equipped for this kind of camping. You have to have the right equipment.
Since it was my first visit to Ain Drahem, seeing the only one so far, I couldn't help but take pictures here, there and everywhere. I charged my phone twice through my power bank.
We had spent 2-3 hours preparing meals. It was difficult to make the campfire as the wood was wet and the charcoal we brought with us was not of good quality.
But thanks to the wisdom and cunning of our fire keeper Khalil we were finally able to warm up and eat a hot dish that made blood run through our veins.
As I was a little tired, I would wake up the next day at 8 am, quite naturally, with daylight and birdsong.
An awakening that I will not soon forget because when I opened the tent I was entitled to a magnificent view in the middle of the forest and above all this breath of pure and fresh air. A pure moment of disconnection between the city center and the return to nature, calm and greenery.
