These children know some really useful skills.
In the first round of processing our fall meat chickens, we took care of fifty of them. In this second round, it was just under thirty birds, leaving just a handful of them for the final round. We decided to do them in staggered rounds, and each time we just cull the largest birds that we consider to be "ready" for processing. It's amazing to watch and see how willing these children are to find a role in the process and do their part. In these photos, the family works hard as a team to get the job done, and we sure did! Enjoy the photos.
