DIARY GAME || 23.05.2021|| BETTER LIFE ~ At The Emergency 🦺 Room..

It's chaos for me today. I am at the emergency ward in Masaka Referral Hospital 🏥 and my cousin (very close) is sick. To be more precise, he is very sick.

We brought him here two days ago when he couldn't breathe. His throat was blocked and he couldn't speak. He weighed only 37 kilograms yet he is now 26 years old.

With his permission, allow me state that he is here because he lagged back on swallowing his medicine. His ARVs. You see, he was born with HIV and being the last born of his parents (now deceased), he is the only one of his siblings with it.

He has been coping, through thick and thin and has gone on to work with TASO (the Aids support organization) as a counselor, changing people's lives and creating a positive living influence on the people he has worked with.

He is a professional Journalist and works as a DJ, his passion. However, three years ago he gave up on life.....on being alive. He suffered major depression and did not swallow his medicine 💊. The outcome is this that we are dealing with now.

He hasn't swallowed his medicine and this has affected his health thus making him very vulnerable. He almost died of pneumonia!! They had to cut open his throat and insert tubes for him to breath. He has been on oxygen for two days and has a pipe down his nose in which he feeds. I can not begin to imagine the pain he is going through!. He is still at the emergency room, but he is out of danger now.

If you ever feel alone guys, don't punish yourself. Talk to someone because everybody is going through something. Here in the picture, I was praying for him and he reached out to touch me. He hadn't moved in days!

And please, take you ARVs if you are on this medication. Take care of yourself because it's your life. The virus can go into remission, and you can have a good life or start up a family. Never give up on yourself!

Life is priceless, treat it as such. Today as you pray, please pray for my brother. He is drained, in pain and has given up hope. Only our love and prayers will make a difference in his life now.
