Hi everyone,

Hope you're good. How has your day been? Mine was awesome! Well, abit awesome that is. I went to a fish farm to learn about growing fish for money.

The fish grower in this article made ponds in the swampy areas around a major road around my district. I captured some great phography and I wanna share some of them with you.

However, I realized that the ponds are surrounded by nets to prevent pests, as well as wire meshes on top to prevent birds. Fish can be eaten by snakes, and birds, therefore they have to guard against them.

Another noticeable thing was the food they are fed. They feed on maize brand with mukene and fish pellets. These make them gain weight fast, but you have to feed them everyday. It's quite tedious if you do not have a food making machine of your own.

When they feed, they come up to the top and gallop away the food that stands on top of the water. This is how they look.

In this pond, there are cat fish and mud fish and they make the biggest wiggle in the water. The other breeds around other ponds are Tilapia, there are no Nile perch species here. Fish farming is alot of work. The water has to be clean, the ponds should have outlets and be safe for the fish.

Even with alot of work, they are digging up more ponds to expand. Soon, this will be a learning centre for fish farming and they plan to make a small eating area where people can sit and order for fish straight from the pond - fresh!

They also grow some pumpkin, cassava, and sugarcane as well as yams. I love yams. Wuuuuu!

I also saw some cute puppies and I wanted to take one, but they are just one month old and can't leave their mother. It would die without milk or warm. Eeeh! It's too much!
