ELECTIONS AT MUBS🏵️🏵️

This month has been quiet a busy one especially with campaigns. So it's that time of the year when students at Makerere university business school.. MUBS are voting for a new guild president. In this race, my president is kiyega Edward Rogers of the Uganda Youth Democrats (UYD) camp which is color green.

Besides Rogers, there are five other candidates like Nimrod of nrm (yellow), Joseph an independent (orange), Arnold an independent (Black), Kabaseke from Alliance (purple) and Valentine from nup (red).

Yesterday the camps had their last rallies and it was so much fun. I danced and danced until I couldn't feel my legs anymore😂😂😂

Today is the day that MUBS decides who will sit in the next guild chair. After having breakfast, I made my way from hostel to campus to exercise my constitutional right which is to vote.

The students were many but not as many as they should be. Perhaps because some of them have already travelled to the villages for Christmas holidays.

We were divided into faculties as we always are. There are a total number of seven facilities at MUBS and each faculty has different courses that fall under it.

I fall under faculty of commerce and so I looked for my faculty and voted.
After voting, as usual, we are marked with a permanent marker so that one person doesn't have the advantage of voting twice.

After voting, it was very hot and so I decided to get some ice cream to cool off.

Voting is to close at 4pm at which point the votes will be tallied and the winner declared. I pray that my candidate goes through. Figures crossed. Let's wait and see
