Afternoon is usually considered after midday. However most people consider it after 2pm because that is when people are normally done with lunch and are either heading back to work afternoon sessions or whatever it is that they maybe doing. Afternoons are normally slower than mornings.
The fact that most people are done with lunch, their bodies are working to digest the food, therefore you find that people may be slower in the tasks they maybe doing the afternoon. Foods like sweet potatoes, lots of posh and cassava, generally foods really heavy in carbohydrates can make you feel lazy in that you find yourself dozing.
To remedy this one can always try to fix in a few minutes in their lunch time to rest and take a little nap as it can refresh one’s mind. Furthermore, one can also try to control the food they eat especially on busy days like vegetables so as not to slow down. Though the other remedy would be for one to actually finish all their work in the morning and limit the active work for the afternoon sessions because you can’t dose off if you are active.
